VERMILLION, S.D. (SD BRIN) — Ask Barbara Harvey (photo) what she can do for you and you may be surprised at the breadth of her answer. The USD Health Sciences Information Services Librarian says the USD Libraries are able to provide a variety of information and services to SD BRIN member institutions, including journals, databases and help with curricula.

According to University Libraries, SD BRIN provided over $133,000 to the Libraries to help provide the following titles:

  • Minitex's Science Direct package
  • Biosis, including all Biosis Previews materials
  • Nature Publishing Group package
  • EBSCO’s Computers & Applied Sciences Complete database
  • Wiley Interscience journals, including access to the full Wiley Collection

Harvey’s organization also can facilitate interlibrary loans to almost any institution, publication or database imaginable. They also can custom fit a curriculum guide for an individual course.

Harvey can be reached at (605) 677-5121 or e-mail her at
