The UPR - Sports Medicine Fellowship program is based at the Center for Sports Health and Exercise Sciences located at the PR Olympic Training Center and affiliated with the University of Puerto Rico, Medical School.    The Sports Medicine fellowship is a 12 months ACGME accredited program that involves the care of patients with sports injuries, fitness or recreational activity-related injuries that adversely affect their ability to participate in physical activity and competitive sports.  This one year fellowship offers exposure to coverage of high school athletes at the sports technical school in the Olympic Training Center and athletes affiliated with the Olympic Committee of Puerto Rico. The educational program includes monthly lecture series in topics related to sports medicine and exercise sciences. The fellow participates in direct clinical care of athletes rotating in sports medicine, primary care and orthopedic sports medicine clinics with a direct supervision of department faculty.
