UNM ACDA Student Chapter

The American Choral Directors Association is a distinguished national organization committed to promoting excellence in choral music through performance, teaching, composition, research, and publication.

The UNM choir department is proud to sponsor a student chapter of the ACDA comprised of nearly thirty members and advised by Bradley Ellingboe, Director of Choral Activities.

Camille Kelly currently serves as president of the chapter and is assisted by Vice President Jennifer Perez and Secretary Annie McKenzie.

The student chapter is making plans to attend this year’s ACDA National Convention in Chicago, Illinois March 9th through the 13th. On the UNM campus, they recently hosted world renowned British vocal group Voces 8 for a concert and workshop with the UNM Concert Choir. On February 28th, ACDA members look forward to meeting guest clinician and conductor Dr. Pamela Elrod from Southern Methodist University. In March and April, UNM choirs are excited to welcome Dr. René Clausen, well-known composer and conductor from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.

The University Chorus and Concert Choir will perform the world premiere of Clausen’s Requiem on April 26th.
