The Netherlands Consul General Meets University of Sulaimani President and Hold Roundtable Discussion with Group of UoS Students

The Netherlands Consul General to Kurdistan Region Mr. John van der Zande with Aram Abdallah, Consular Affairs Officer, visited University of Sulaimani on Monday December 21^st, 2015 and met with University of Sulaimani President and held a roundtable discussion with a group of undergraduate students from University of Sulaimani.

The Netherlands Consul General Mr. Van der Zande and Mr. Abdallah were received by University of Sulaimani President, Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali and Dr Karzan G. Khidhir, Director of International Academic Relations.

During the meeting, Mr. Van der Zande and Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed discussed the latest developments and the possible ways of launching academic cooperation with the Dutch universities.

The University of Sulaimani President thanked the Netherlands Consul General to Kurdistan Region for his visit and stressed on the willingness of University of Sulaimani to establish academic ties with the Dutch Universities through the Netherlands Consulate General in Erbil.

The Netherlands Consulate General delegation, Mr. Van der Zande and Mr. Aram Abdallah later held a roundtable discussion with a group of undergraduate Students from various departments of University of Sulaimani and shared ideas, discussed the latest developments in the region and the ways of improving education system in the region.

The students thanked Mr. Van der Zande for the opportunity and hoped to participate in more similar discussions in future.
