New Head of Public Affairs Section of U.S. Consulate General-Erbil visited University of Sulaimani

Head of Public Affairs Section of The Consulate General of the United States of America in Erbil visited University of Sulaimani on Thursday 18 February 2016.

Mr. Doug Morrow newly appointed Head of Public Affairs Section of US Consulate General in Erbil accompanied by Ms. Anwaar Al-Somrli (exchange Specialist) and Mr Dler (staff member) visited University of Sulaimani and met with Assist. Prof. Dr. Khasraw Abdulla Rashid (Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Post Graduate Studies), Dr Karzan G. Khidhir (Director of International Academic Relations) and Dr. Naeema Muhamad Abdulla (Vice Dean of College of Fine Arts).

During the meeting both sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations in order to take advantage of the educational opportunities and cultural programs offered by US institutions.

Mr. Morrow donated several books about music to the College of Fine Arts.

The Public Affairs Section delegation then visited the American Corner in the central library of University of Sulaimani where an event was organized for students and staff of the university.
