Delegation from Swedish Södertörn University Visit University of Sulaimani

A delegation from Södertörn University, Sweden visited university of Sulaimani 3- 5 May 2016.

The delegates from Södertörn University were Associate professor, Dr. Jenny Berglund, Senior lecturer, Dr. Ann af Burén, M.A. Maria Lindqvist, and Professor, Dr. Jørgen Straarup. On 3 May the delegation was received by University of Sulaimani President, Professor Dr. Salahalddin Saeed Ali and Dr Karzan G. Khidhir, Director of International Academic Relations at the Presidency of University of Sulaimani. During the meeting both sides discussed establishing bilateral academic cooperation and signing a Memorandum of Understanding between both universities.

After the meeting the Södertörn University delegates visited some educational and leisure facilities at University of Sulaimani including teaching halls, congress hall and sports facilities.

On 4 May the Södertörn University delegation met with faculty members of University of Sulaimani including Vice Dean of Faculty of Language and Humanities, Head of Kurdish Language Department, Head of English Language Department, Head of Sociology Department, Head and deputy of Political Science Department. During the meeting both sides discussed establishing bilateral academic cooperation in details.
