Dr. Chro Haider Ahmed currently serves as the Vice Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Sulaimani and as an Assistant Professor specializing in transportation engineering. She holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Sulaimani, and she furthered her education with a High Diploma and a PhD in Transportation Engineering from Imperial College London, UK .

Dr. Ahmed's research centers on the application of mathematical and heuristic optimization models in various aspects of transportation planning, including rail transit systems, transport modeling, transport engineering, public transport, sustainable mobility, and bicycling.
