Dr.Bayad Jaza Mahmood

Dr. Bayad Jaza entire education and professional experience have been dedicated to oral and maxillofacial surgery, facial cosmetic surgery, and head and neck cancer. Dr. Bayad has thirteen years of focused experience in head and neck surgery as a fellow of the Kurdistan Board of Medical Specialties and a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He provides cosmetic and reconstructive oral and maxillofacial surgery and is trained to treat and diagnose diseases and trauma of the head and neck region.

 

Dr. Bayad graduated from the college in 2008–2009. He was ranked second out of 28 students, and was employed as a senior house officer at the University of Sulaymaniyah in the oral and maxillofacial department in 2009. He was accepted as a resident at Sulaymaniyah Teaching Hospital in 2010. 

In 2011, he applied for a fellowship at the Kurdistan Board of Medical Specialties. He passed the examination, ranking first. During this period, he visited many countries (Turkey, Jordan, Egypt, Dubai, Iran, Germany, Switzerland, Netherland, France, Austria, Spain, Italy, and Belgium) to add further information to his career.

In 2021, he became a member of the American Association for Continuing Medical Education and got a diploma in facial aesthetics.

Dr. Bayad has multiple duties and posts at the university (Head of the  Oral and Maxillofacial Department, member of the scientific committee, and one of the reviewers of the scientific journal SDJ).

Dr. Bayad was promoted to Assistant Professor in July 2022.

Dr. Bayad has two days of cold case operations per week at Sulaymanyah teaching hospital and six days of on-call duty per month at Shar Hospital-Sulaymaniyah.
