Research interests

My research area is theoretical astroparticle physics and cosmology. I am particularly interested in the interplay between high-energy astrophysics and new physics searches.

In more detail, my current research lines include:
- Astrophysical and primordial black hole phenomenology, with particular focus on: (i) the accretion of baryonic matter onto them and its impact in astronomical and cosmological contexts, and (ii) their merger rate evolution with redshift
- Phenomenology of the over-densities of Dark Matter around massive black holes, and their potential impact on gravitational wave signals.
- Physics of Galactic cosmic rays, with particular focus on the modeling of their transport in the Galaxy.
- Modeling of the diffuse non-thermal emission from the Galaxy, from radio to high-energy gamma rays and neutrinos.
- Indirect Dark Matter searches in general
