Research interests

Quantum-classical hybrid systems, such as in Born-Oppenheimer, mean field, and measurement schemes, in optomechanical systems, or in QM coupled to classical gravity (Diosi-Penrose reduction). Quantum decoherence which leads to entropy production in multipartite systems and emergence of classical properties in QM. - Earlier interests have included finite-T QFT related to quark-gluon plasma and QCD transport theory, introducing relativistic gauge-covariant Wigner functions.
