Research interests
My research interests lie at the boundary of quantum field theory, condensed matter and quantum technologies. My primary focus are the quantum engineering of topological phases of matter and the theory of quantum simulations of exotic phenomena in condensed matter systems, including hybrid semiconductor-superconductor platforms and ultracold atom setups. I am an expert in the theory of anyons and topological order, their applications to quantum information and their connections with lattice gauge theories. My aim is to devise ways to make the elegant and often counterintuitive predictions of quantum theories alive in experiments.
