My research activity is mainly devoted to the optical spectroscopy of materials in various wavelength regions from the visible to the infrared and THz region. The aim is either to study the material itself for photonic applications or the light-matter interaction. A wide range of materials can be investigated for example semiconductors, 2D materials, nanoparticles, polymers...

A special interest is devoted to the study of rare-earth doped crystals and nanocrystals for biomedical and other applications.
