Research interests

Past research projects regarded behavioral, electrophysiological and computational modeling studies of non-associative and associative learning processes in invertebrate. Development of multi-compartment conductance based single neural models and neural networks with the characteristic behavior of a Central Pattern Generator (https://med.uth.edu/nba/). Application of Process Algebra methods for the description of neural signal transmission (http://www.cs.stir.ac.uk/~abb/). Application of dynamic-clamp methods for investigating the neural correlates, in some limbic structures, of drug of abuse (http://www.scripps.edu/). Running project PANACEE: Prevision and analysis of brain activity in transitions: epilepsy and sleep (https://panacee.diism.unisi.it/index_prv#project).
