Research interests
My research activity has been focused on experimental particle physics, within the KLOE/KLOE-2, g-2 and PDG Collaboration, where I published more than 110 papers in referred journals, cited over 25000 times with an h-index of 44. Most of my researches were developing new ideas or proposals like:
the development of a new way to measure the hadronic cross sections, by Initial State Radiation (ISR), where in KLOE we published the first article with a 1% precision. The ISR is now a worldwide activity with thousands of citations which contributed to reduce of a factor 2 the accuracy of the thoeretical calculation to g-2;
a new proposal to precisely measure the g-2 at Fermilab, where we developed a laser calibration system with an accuracy of 10-4, one order of magnitude better than reached by previous systems;
the development of a working Group “Radiative Corrections and Monte Carlo Generators for Low Energies" which since more than 10 years develops tools for low energy physics,
the first measurement of the real and imaginary part of the effective fine structure constant below 1 GeV, which is one of the fundamental parameter of the Standard Model;
a new way to precisely measure the hadronic contribution to g-2
