Make a Difference!

Each year, in conjunction with the UN Day Dinner , UNA Centre County and its Council of Organizations select a project that fits with the UN Day Dinner speaker's theme.  In his keynote speech, Dr. Richard spoke about the need to go beyond reducing carbon emissions to systems that focus on drawing down atmospheric carbon.  One effective system to draw down carbon is tree planting.  The Arbor Day Foundation has more information on the effects of trees on climate change.

Act locally to combat climate change!  Plant a tree (or a forest).

You can help the Centre County United Nations Association and ClearWater Conservancy in their efforts to plant trees locally to help reduce the impact of global climate change by sponsoring tree planting.
