Bio: Zoe Kao is currently a PhD student at the University of Minnesota, Division of Health Policy and Management. She received her B.A. and M.A. in Economics from National Taiwan University and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, respectively. After graduation, she worked as a statistical analyst and was involved in several research projects evaluating policies and causal relations by exploiting the National Health Insurance Database in Taiwan. The experience of working with nationwide health data sets developed her research interests in evaluating the cost-effectiveness and efficiency of health services and treatments, and in analyzing the gain and loss behind each decision under uncertainty.
