The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) is a national, professional pharmacy organizations comprised of pharmacists, student pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians. ASHP provides a wide variety of resources to its members, such as career services, drug information, continuing education, residency and technician training accreditation, conferences and meetings, and professional advocacy. The student chapter at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy is committed to representing the national ASHP efforts, mission, and vision.

Twin Cities Leadership Committee

ASHP Liaison: Stephanie Jackson (jack0774@umn.edu)
Stephanie is a third year pharmacy student, serving as the student chapter president on the Twin Cities campus. She's currently an inpatient intern at Hennepin County Medical Center and pharmacist intern at Recover Health. In her second year, she served as the Pre-Pharmacy Liaison to MPSA. She is actively involved in American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy student chapters, pursuing a pharmacy career in critical care or ambulatory care. The president keeps members informed of important events, coordinates chapter meetings, represents the UMN student chapter at local and national meetings, and identifies activities that may benefit chapter members, including guest speakers and career exploration events.

Vice President Project Development: 
Courtney Pahl (pahlx097@umn.edu)
Courtney is a second year pharmacy student and currently an inpatient intern at both Children's Hospital Saint Paul and Abbott Northwestern Hospital. In her first year, she served on the ASHP leadership committee as the PD1 representative. Courtney is actively involved in American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists as well as Phillip's Neighborhood Clinic. She is presently pursuing a career in clinical pharmacy, and she has a special interest in pharmacogenomics. As Vice President of Project Development, she will assist in the planning of the local Clinical Skills Competition, as well as other events aimed at advancing professional development of student chapter members such as hospital tours.

Vice President of Communications: 
Sean Byrne (byrne262@umn.edu)
Sean is a second year pharmacy student and currently an inpatient intern at Saint Joseph's Hospital. He is interested in clinical hospital pharmacy, with a specific focus on either cardiology or oncology. Sean is an active member of the Minnesota Pharmacy Student Alliance, and he is relatively new to American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists. As the Vice President of Communications, he will be responsible for communication between the national organization and student chapter. He will also maintain the chapter website and social media accounts, and reach out to students with regards to upcoming events and recorded meeting minutes. 

Vice President of Finance:
Sara Loesner (ahlfs006@umn.edu)
Sara is a second year pharmacy student and currently an inpatient-outpatient intern at Children's Hospital Saint Paul. Prior to enrolling in pharmacy school, she was a tax auditor with a Bachelor's degree in accounting. She frequently volunteers through Kappa Psi and Minnesota Pharmacy Student Alliance. Sara is presently interested in a career in pediatric emergency and critical care pharmacy. As the Vice President of Finance, she will formulate and maintain a budget for the chapter and handle member reimbursements when necessary. She will also organize fundraising events each semester to help support chapter initiatives and fund projects as needed.  

Vice President of Membership:
Christopher Conley (conle082@umn.edu)
Chris is a second year pharmacy student and currently an intern with the Minneapolis Veteran's Affair Health Care System. He is an active member of ASHP as well as Phi Delta Chi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, where he serves as co-chair of the scholarship committee. His career interests include critical care pharmacy and ambulatory care. As Vice President of Membership, Chris is involved in leading initiative for the mentorship program, coordinating events for new and existing student chapter members, and represents the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy's ASHP-SSHP at all regional and national pharmacy conferences he attends.
