The American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) is a national, professional pharmacy organizations comprised of pharmacists, student pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians. ASHP provides a wide variety of resources to its members, such as career services, drug information, continuing education, residency and technician training accreditation, conferences and meetings, and professional advocacy. The student chapter at the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy is committed to representing the national ASHP efforts, mission, and vision.


Twin Cities Leadership Committee

ASHP Liaison: Courtney Pahl (pahlx097@unn.edu)
Courtney is a second year pharmacy student and currently an inpatient intern at both Children's Hospital Saint Paul and Abbott Northwestern Hospital. In her first year, she served on the ASHP leadership committee as the PD1 representative and Chair of Project Development as a PD2. Other than ASHP, Courtney is actively involved in ACCP, PPAG, Kappa Psi, Phillip's Neighborhood Clinic. She is presently pursuing a career in clinical pharmacy, and she has a special interests in pediatrics and pharmacogenomics. As the liaison, she will assist in the planning of the local Clinical Skills Competition, as well as other events aimed at advancing professional development of student chapter members such as the new iniativie Health System Highlights. Courtney will aslo represent the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy's ASHP-SSHP at all regional and national pharmacy conferences she attends.

AHSP Chair of Development : Christopher Conley (conle082@umn.edu)
Chris is a third year pharmacy student and currently an intern with the Minneapolis Veteran's Affair Health Care System. He is an active member of ASHP as well as Phi Delta Chi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, where he serves as co-chair of the scholarship committee. His career interests include critical care pharmacy and ambulatory care. As Chair of Development, Chris is involved in assisiting the Lisason with projects, coordinating events for new and existing student chapter members, and representing the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy's ASHP-SSHP at all regional and national pharmacy conferences he attends.
