Directions to the University of Minnesota's West Bank campus
The conference will take place on the West Bank campus of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, with the exception of the tour to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.

The Thursday, Feb. 24 afternoon opening session will take place in the James Ford Bell Library on the fourth floor of Wilson Library on the University of Minnesota's West Bank campus, 309 19th Avenue S., Minneapolis. Here is a link to a map and building information:

The closest and most convenient parking ramp is the 21st Avenue Ramp, which is a short walk  to Wilson Library as well as Rarig Theater, the location of performances of the play "Journey" on Thursday, Feb. 24, Friday, Feb. 25, and Saturday, Feb. 26. Here are driving directions to the 21st Avenue Ramp:
  • From the Aloft Hotel to the Wilson Library building : Head northwest (right) on Washington Ave. S., towards 9th Ave. S. Make a U-Turn at Chicago Ave. and turn to stay on Washington Ave. S. Continue on Washington as it bends to the south and becomes Cedar Avenue. Turn left on 3rd St. S. and continue past the 19th Avenue parking ramp entrance on your right to the traffic lights at 19th Ave. S. Turn right onto 19th Ave. S. and continue one block south to 4th St. S. Turn left at 4th St. S. and continue two blocks to 21st Ave. S. Turn right onto 21st Ave. S and then turn right into the 21st Avenue Ramp.
  • From Minneapolis: Travel East on Washington Ave. S.,  which crosses over I-35W and becomes Cedar Avenue at the bend in the road. Turn left on 3rd St. S. and continue past the 19th Avenue parking ramp entrance on your right to the traffic lights at 19th Ave. S. Turn right onto 19th Ave. S. and continue one block south to 4th St. S. Turn left at 4th St. S. and continue two blocks to 21st Ave. S. Turn right onto 21st Ave. S and then turn right into the 21st Avenue Ramp.
  • From the North: Take I-35W South the Washington Avenue exit. Turn left and cross I-35W and continue on Washington as it bends to the south and becomes Cedar Avenue Turn left on 3rd St. S. and continue past the 19th Avenue parking ramp entrance on your right to the traffic lights at 19th Ave. S. Turn right onto 19th Ave. S. and continue one block south to 4th St. S. Turn left at 4th St. S. and continue two blocks to 21st Ave. S. Turn right onto 21st Ave. S and then turn right into the 21st Avenue Ramp.
  • From the South: Take I-35W North to the 3rd St./U of M West Bank exit. Follow signs for the U of M West Bank. Turn right onto Washington Avenue, which becomes Cedar Avenue at the bend in the road. Turn left on 3rd St. S. and continue past the 19th Avenue parking ramp entrance on your right to the traffic lights at 19th Ave. S. Turn right onto 19th Ave. S. and continue one block south to 4th St. S. Turn left at 4th St. S. and continue two blocks to 21st Ave. S. Turn right onto 21st Ave. S and then turn right into the 21st Avenue Ramp.
  • From the East: Take I-94 West to the Riverside Avenue exit. Turn right on Riverside Avenue and follow it approximately five blocks to 21st Ave. S., passing the University of Minnesota Medical Center (Fairview-Riverside). Turn right onto 21st Ave. S, passing the Regis Center for Art (two buildings on each side of the street). The entrance into the 21st Avenue Ramp will be on your left.
  • From the West: Take I-94 to the I-35W North LEFT exit. On I-35W, stay in the right lane and take the 3rd Street/U of M exit (#17C). Follow signs for the U of M West Bank. Turn right on Washington Avenue, which becomes Cedar Avenue at the bend in the road. Turn left on 3rd St. S. and continue past the 19th Avenue parking ramp entrance on your right to the traffic lights at 19th Ave. S. Turn right onto 19th Ave. S. and continue one block south to 4th St. S. Turn left at 4th St. S. and continue two blocks to 21st Ave. S. Turn right onto 21st Ave. S and then turn right into the 21st Avenue Ramp.
From the 21st Avenue Ramp, exit to the north at the corner of 4th St. S. and 21st Ave. S. (elevator and stairs) and cross 4th St. S. There is a passenger drop-off area at this location that is convenient to both Wilson Library and Carlson School of Management. From this location, Wilson Library is a short walk north along a wide paved area. Rarig Center is a short walk to the east (right on 4th St. S. as viewed from the exit from the 21st Avenue Ramp).

All of the Friday, Feb. 25 sessions as well as the Saturday, Feb. 26 afternoon sessions will take place in the 3M Auditorium, which is
located in the Carlson School of Management on the University of Minnesota's West Bank Campus, at 321 19th Avenue S., Minneapolis. Here is a link to a map and building information:

  • From the South: Take I-35W North to the 3rd St./U of M West Bank exit. Follow signs for the U of M West Bank. Turn right onto Washington Avenue, which becomes Cedar Avenue at the bend in the road. Turn left on 3rd St. S. The 19th Avenue parking ramp entrance is on your right.
  • From the East: Take I-94 West to the Riverside Avenue exit. Turn right on Riverside Avenue and follow it one-quarter block past 19th Avenue. The 19th Avenue parking ramp entrance is on your right.
  • From the West: Take I-94 to the I-35W North LEFT exit. On I-35W, stay in the right lane and take the 3rd Street/U of M exit (#17C). Follow signs for the U of M West Bank. Turn right on Washington Avenue, which becomes Cedar Avenue at the bend in the road. Turn left on 3rd St. S. The 19th Avenue parking ramp entrance is on your right.
From the 19th Avenue Ramp, walk through the sky walk across 19th Avenue into the Carlson School of Management building. Take the stairs or elevator down to the first floor location of the 3M Auditorium and Atrium.

Parking Rate Information

The parking fees at the University of Minnesota's 19th Avenue Parking Ramp and the 21st Avenue Parking Ramp are $3 for the first hour, $6 for 1 to 2 hours, $7 for 2 to 3 hours, $8 for 3 to 4 hours, $9 for 4 to 5 hours, $10 for 5 to 6 hours, and $11 for 6 to 7 hours, with a daily maximum of $12.

There are also a number of nearby surface lots and limited, metered street-parking available. Meters are $1.25/hour.
