1419 is a student-run interdisciplinary alternative art space and residency devoted to the creation and exhibition of experimental projects. It is conveniently located one block west of the Holiday Inn, across from the southern theater.

 

Exhibitions:

Main Floor:  “Versatility - Volunteer Show”

A salon style show, giving all the Conference Volunteers an opportunity to share their work with conference goers. Organized by Bohemian Press on behalf of student involvement with the conference.

 

Second Floor: “Personal Geographies/Bohemian Histories” Selected works surveying Bohemian Press members from its founding to present day.

3rd Floor: “Open Spaces - Intersecting Worlds”

Four artists take advantage of 1419's unique space. The show will address the changing face of print media as it engages with installation as a transformative media. Curated by Tzvi Izaksonas

Exhibition: "Dead Wood"

“Dead Wood” prints are by Midwest-based printmakers based on the HBO original television series “Deadwood.” The series’ main narrative thread is based upon the changes that modernization brought to the early American “wild west” and how those members of the community striving for independence dealt with this progression.
