Who to contact for assistance

For most problems, you can start by contacting the Technology Office. They will be able to direct you to the proper resources if the issue is something they cannot assist you with directly. Otherwise, here are a few other useful contacts you can use to cut out the middleman:
  • Access to journal computers, files (S: drive), or printers
  • Computers in journal offices
  • Printing from journal offices or printing to journal printers
  • Email
  • Email lists (Listserv)
    • OIT Listserv Administrators (
    • Law School Webmasters (
    • For information about University of Minnesota LISTSERV lists, or to request a new list:

  • Macros for Publishing

    • Law Technology can probably not help you with the macros for your individual journals! Often, updates to software such as Microsoft Office upgrades or service packs or Operating system upgrades or service packs will require that you purchase a new macro from Christensen. Please budget accordingly: Most journals should plan on purchasing a new macro once a year.
  • Fonts for publishing
    • Christensen publishing
    • Law Technology may retain copies of many of the publishing fonts, but as these fonts must be purchased, they are for back-up purposes only. You may need to pay for a new copy of the font if it changes.
