About the HRMS Upgrade Project
In Fall 2012, the University of Minnesota began upgrading its essential human resources, student service, and financial systems as part of the overall Enterprise Systems Upgrade Program (ESUP/The Upgrade). The Upgrade went live on April 20, 2015. As part of this project, we upgraded our PeopleSoft Human Resources Management System (HRMS) to the latest version (9.2), re-implemented core HR data functions, and re-examined related business processes. The goals of the project included: to realize the greatest value from delivered functionality, to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, and to enhance the user experience.
Benefits of the HRMS Upgrade Project
In addition to the HRMS Upgrade project, ESUP also included an upgrade of the PeopleSoft student system to the latest version (9.0) and the first comprehensive restructuring of business processes since 1998; an update of our PeopleSoft financial system to the latest version (9.2) in order to maintain integration with the HR and student systems; and the implementation of PeopleSoft Enterprise Portal version 9.2.
