Google Sites Status

Templates—There are two approved templates available - one fixed width, one fluid. Both templates have been tested. If you find any problems or issues, please report them to urweb@umn.edu.

Sites Template Updates

Header and footer—The web header and footer for University websites were updated in 2015.

If you launched a Google Site before the update, there is one small change you should make. In the footer, change the "myU" link to "MyU" to reflect the new capitalization scheme for the site.

Student Organization template—A new template featuring only the block M in the header was published on May 10, 2013. Registered Student Organizations may use this template for their organization's sites and activities.

Horizontal navigation change—The original template (the fluid one) had some issues with link hover and background color for horizontal navigation sub menus. This has been fixed.

Initial template—The initial template launch included a template that gave many people errors when trying to apply it. This template has been replaced, but still shows up in the gallery. Do not try to use UofM Official Google Sites Template I.
