Before creating spreadsheet with a Google apps template, see the guidelines for their use.
A fixed header does not work well in a spreadsheet where the user can freeze rows, add/remove columns, merge cells, and change heights and widths. A spreadsheet template with the wordmark in a header row is included in this set of document templates, but is not optimal for many uses.
If the template provided does not work for your purposes, follow the instructions below.
Download a wordmark image from the Our Brand website.
On the spreadsheet, color the row maroon: click the Fill color button on the toolbar then select Custom from the dropdown menu.
In the custom color window, enter #7a0019 and click OK to fill the row.
Next, add the wordmark image. Click the Insert tab at the top of the page and select Image. In the window that appears, click “Choose an image to upload”, select wordmark-for-spreadsheet.png, and click Select to import the image.
You will need to resize the image to fit in your row. To do this, click the image and a white border will appear around it. Hold down the Shift key and click and drag from the corner of the image border. This will resize the image and keep the proportions correct. Click and drag the image to move it around the window, and click outside of the image area to set it in place.
Beyond these instructions and templates, the University does not offer help with Google spreadsheets. See the Overview of Google Spreadsheets for more information.
