Project milestones

  • In 2010 a University of Minnesota team selected the Galaxy framework  or platform to provide the university with  an integrated informatics solution that would support both data analysis and research discovery and that would be  useful to beginning, intermediate and advanced informatics users or researchers alike.
  • In February 2011 we completed the Galaxy implementation at the Minnesota Supercomputing Institute and have since been using it as the UMN enterprise solution for genomics data analysis with great success.
  • In 2014, with the generous support of MSI  we  continue to adopt, expend and maintain the  current Galaxy framework functionalities to support processing and analysis of Next Generation Sequence data.
  • Since 2012, in collaboration with Tim Griffin in the Biochemistry department we use the  Galaxy framework to support processing and analysis of  proteomics data  ( NSF DBI-ABI  award 1147079)
