Health Services Research, Policy and Administration (HSRP&A), PhDAbout meArea of Emphasis: Health Decision Sciences Advisor: Karen M. Kuntz, Sc.D. Co-Advisor: Eva Enns, Ph.D. Research Interests: Decision-analytic modeling, Bayesian methods for statistical inference and cost-effectiveness analysis, value of information (VOI), health technology assessment, infectious and chronic disease mathematical modeling, and model estimation and calibration. Bio: I'm a Post-Doctoral Associate at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, Division of Health Policy and Management. I currently work a Graduate Research Assistant on the CISNET2 project: Modeling Effective Health Policies for Colorectal Cancer, and the CERVICCS project: comparative effectiveness to define the reasonable range of options for cervical cancer screening (CERVICCS) I hold a bachelors' degree in Biomedical Engineering form the Metropolitan Autonomous University (UAM) and a master's degree in Economics from the Center for Research and Teaching in Economics (CIDE), both in Mexico City. During 2009-2012 I was researcher and adjunct professor in Health Economics at the National Institute of Public Health (INSP) in Cuernavaca, Mexico, working with large datasets on modeling, cost-effectiveness analysis, and quantitative evaluation of health interventions and social programs. My background in engineering and economics places me in a great position to develop and apply integrated methods of mathematical modeling in decision and cost-effectiveness analysis.
