Renal Transplantation Fellowship

The renal transplantation fellow will perform supervised care for kidney transplant recipient patients, inpatient and outpatient. On the inpatient service, the fellow will see all kidney and kidney/pancreas transplant recipients on morning rounds conducted jointly between the surgery and nephrology services, seeing each transplant patient independently before and after morning rounds, with responsibility for writing orders, along with the surgery fellow and residents, in a concurrent care model. On the outpatient side the fellow will have their own transplant clinic weekly, as well as see newly discharged transplant recipients, transplant urgent care patients and perform kidney transplant biopsies.

The fellow will participate in a core, didactic, kidney transplantation curriculum, and participate in clinical research to include both a prospective research project and case studies, under the guidance of the Nephrology transplant faculty.

A fellow has been selected for 2019-20. Please review the application information and e-mail the program coordinator to apply for 2020-21.
