Staff Development

Purpose: 

The Staff Development Committee plans, coordinates, and evaluates activities, events, and programs that foster staff engagement, wellbeing, and professional growth across all functions of CLA Undergraduate Education.

Objectives: 

The Staff Development Committee:
  • Hosts end-of-semester celebrations
  • Coordinates staff recognition initiatives and events
  • Sponsors interest-based connections/discussions
  • Highlights unit work and achievements
  • Coordinates nominations of CLA Undergraduate staff for collegiate/university awards
Membership:

The committee is comprised of the following members:
  • An academic advisor from the Appleby advising office
  • An academic advisor from an East Bank advising office, other than Appleby
  • An academic advisor from the West Bank advising office
  • An assistant director of advising
  • A representative of CLA Career Services
  • A representative from CLA UGE Communications
  • A representative of the Office of the Associate Dean
  • The assistant to the associate dean for Undergraduate Education
The assistant to the associate dean will serve as Chair. Members are nominated by their office and appointed by the assistant to the associate dean for Undergraduate Education. Members are appointed to staggered two-year terms, beginning July 1 and ending July 30, with the exceptions of the named positions, and members may be reappointed.
