Certified Approver Advisory Committee (CAAC)

The Certified Approver Advisory Committee (CAAC) serves as a liaison between the Certified Approver User Group and The Research Compliance Office (RCO). CAAC consists of seven members who represent Certified Approvers at both the collegiate and department levels. Each member serves a two-year term through an election held by the Certified Approvers. The CAAC chair is appointed by the Director of RCO on an annual basis.

Staff members from RCO, Sponsored Projects Administration, and Sponsored Financial Reporting offices serve as resources for CAAC in an ex-officio capacity. RCO provides administrative support for the committee.          

Certified Approver Advisory Committee members:

  • Attend monthly meetings to facilitate the functioning of CA program
  • Serve as chair of a subcommittee
  • Plan and conduct continuing education events
  • Review policies and procedures related to financial management of sponsored projects and make recommendations for potential changes
