Student Academic Success Services (SASS)

Take a for-credit LASk course to learn academic skills including test taking skills and managing test anxiety. 

Students meet with an academic counselor to help develop studying and test taking skills.

Academic Skills Assessment Package
Interested in learning more about how to utilize your academic strengths and learning more about how to improve other academic areas? Students will take the ACT Engage College questionnaire and the Learning and Study Strategies Inventory free of charge. The ASAP program is a three session model, which includes an initial meeting, a test review session, and a third meeting to plan for next steps. Ask for the program when scheduling your appointment.

Use them on your own to help with the topics of exams, memorization, study habits, time management, and others.

International Student & Scholar Services (ISSS)

ISSS Academic Counseling & Support
ISSS offers Academic Counseling for international undergraduate students. Academic Counseling appointments are usually one hour and are scheduled with an ISSS Academic Counselor. Academic Counseling can help international students adjust to the U.S. and University of Minnesota, improve study skills, and provide support for situations like academic probation.
