Welcome to the 10th annual Second Language Acquisition Graduate Student Symposium. The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities is excited to host the symposium for the first time, as part of a partnership formed with the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Iowa in 2016.

2017 SLA Graduate Student Symposium is titled Second Language Teaching and Learning: Diversity and Advocacy, and will be held on April 21 and 22, 2017, at Coffman Memorial Union on the East Bank campus. We seek to give student researchers and educators the opportunity to present new and future studies that address current issues in SLA. This event will be of interest to a wide spectrum of students interested in language teaching and learning, research, education, and their attendant social, psychological, and linguistic implications. All students are welcome to present their work and meet distinguished researchers in their field at this free, student-run symposium.
