Building on last year’s strategic direction, this year's transformation briefing highlighted key initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality within the pharmacy department. It covered the confirmed Outpatient Pharmacy and PharmUMMC relocation and automation to KPPL, the inpatient automated dispensing cabinet (ADC) going live in February this year, and future upgrades in the Sterile Complex including equipment, staff training, and planned renovations. Additionally, major renovation projects were discussed. Overall, these initiatives aim to streamline workflows, improve medication safety, and elevate the quality of pharmaceutical care delivered to patients.

Loo Yuan Wah, Tan Ching Hooi, Lee Chuey Ee and Chong Ching Wern emerged as the winners of the BE FITT Challenge at UMMC.

We were proud to participate in this career fair,  marking a collaboration between PPUM and Faculty of Pharmacy, Universiti Malaya in fostering the next generation of pharmacy professionals.

We engaged directly with visitors to highlight the diverse career opportunities within PPUM Pharmacy while sharing the essential role of pharmacists in today's healthcare. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to bridge academic learning with real-world practice, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful partnership in the years ahead.

Conducted by our Sterile Complex team, the sharing session for Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) on our automated TPN compounder was smooth and successful. 

Taking the opportunity during Majlis Aspirasi Pengarah PPUM 2026, pharmacy booth was set up at the Plaza. 

Congratulation Carven for receiving appreciation letter from patient followed by recognition from director PPUM.  

In conjunction with World's Kidney Day 2026, Pharmacy booth was set up to raise awareness among publics on the importance of medication in renally impaired patients. 

The gathering brought together Jabatan Farmasi staff in the spirit of goodwill, unity, and cultural appreciation. The event provided an opportunity for staff to strengthen relationships and enjoy fellowship while embracing the multicultural values shared within the department. Staff were encouraged to wear traditional festive attire or other respectful and modest cultural clothing to the gathering.

Mohd Firdaus bin Abdullah for receiving the Staf Eksekutif Cemerlang (Gred 9–10) award at the Majlis Anugerah Cemerlang Universiti Malaya 2026.
