Major: Physics and Interdisciplinary Astronomy
Personal Intro: My name is Veenu Suri, and I am an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan. I am pursuing a Bachelors in Science in Physics and Interdisciplinary Astronomy. I am also pursuing a Minor in Computer Science. After graduation, I am considering either working for NASA as a data scientist, or attending graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. in Astrophysics.
Research Interests: Exoplanets, Black holes, and Dark matter
Research Projects: I have been working with Dr. Emily Rauscher (Astronomy professor) on making a program that can efficiently take in data of an Exoplanet’s light curve, and can predict planet’s physical properties. Some of those properties include: temperature fluctuations between the dayside and night side, and relative size of the planet.
