I am a PhD Candidate in the Biopsychology area of the UM Psychology Department. As a current member of the UM Gelada Research Project, I study the form and the function of complex vocal communication in wild geladas. More generally, I am interested in understanding the proximate (e.g., neural mechanisms) and ultimate (e.g., specific social functions) causes of complex prosocial behaviors.
