Jakob Hoellerbauer

Hello! Welcome to my E-portfolio. Before you peruse my site, let me tell you a little bit about myself:

My name is Jakob Hoellerbauer. I am a sophomore at the University of Michigan studying Electrical Engineering. Eventually I want to attend graduate school and earn a degree in robotics.

I was born in Austria but moved to the United States with my family when I was six years old. My grandparents and cousins all still live back in Austria. I visit them as often as I can. My family still speaks German at home and this has been pivotal in me keeping my Austrian heritage, of which I am very proud.

I love traveling, spending time with my friends and family, and reading. Sports-wise, I primarily love to play tennis and soccer but will really do anything as long as its fun and provides good exercise. I am a very passionate fan of UM football but otherwise do not really follow any specific team.

I am part of the UM Direct Brain Interface project, led by Dr. Huggins, which focuses on Brain Computer Interface technologies. I have been part of the lab for two years now and greatly enjoy what I do there. However, I am excited to look for new research experiences that are more compatible with my intended career.

I hope you enjoy my e-portfolio. I have done my best to let my passions and interests shine throughout.

As always, go Blue!
