Unfortunately, as of 2014, Honors Peer Mentors has been shut down due to redundancy with several other mentoring opportunities within LSA Honors. For more information on those opportunities, please contact LSA Honors or talk to your Honors RA for more information.

Honors Peer Mentors is a program dedicated to connecting incoming students with experienced mentors in order to help welcome and integrate the new students into the University of Michigan Honors Program.
Mentors are mainly sophomores and juniors who are paired with 5-7 incoming freshmen of similar academic and social interests.
Mentorship meetings run every other week for the first semester and extra activities planned by committees are optional.
The academic committee within the program provides opportunities to consult with older students about choosing classes and picking a major as well as other academic feats. The Activities committee organizes outings such as picnics in the arb, lazer tag and more! HPM study nights occur every Wednesday in the Perlman Honors Commons in Mason Hall from 7-10 pm. Snacks provided!
To join HPM as a mentee or request more information, email HPM201415@umich.edu or indicate interest in HPM during freshmen orientation.
