Faculty & Staff

Most Ann Arbor faculty and staff will switch to Google email and calendar. (See schedule.) U-M Health System Exchange users, along with some other campus research groups, will not switch to Google email and calendar because they work with regulated sensitive data, such as electronic personal health information, which cannot currently be maintained in the Google environment. UM-Dearborn might get Google email and calendar, and would migrate following the Ann Arbor campus. UM-Flint will not move to Google email and calendar at this time.

Faculty and staff on all three U-M campuses will receive the suite of collaboration tools, such as Google Docs, Blogger, Talk and Sites. Be sure to read important information about conflicting accounts and security and privacy under the General tab in the Questions & Answers section.
