M+Google at Winterfest

ITS and NextGen Michigan had a shared booth at Winterfest, held on Tuesday, January 10, at the Michigan Union. Winterfest, an annual event primarily for student organizations to recruit new members, was a great opportunity for ITS and NextGen to inform students about the upcoming Google Collaboration project and other ITS services.

The ITS table was staffed by 2 student U-M Google Ambassadors, and 4 members of the Michigan Advertising and Marketing student organization, who are also on the project's Student User Advisory Committee. Representatives from the communications team, and the Google project team were also present.
Students had a chance to win a M+Google jersey every half hour if they signed up to receive the Computer Showcase's Sneak Peek email announcements. Students also received information about IT services available to them on campus, including WiFi, mobile apps, and anti-virus software.

The table was visited by more than 650 students! Many of the students we spoke with were very excited about Google, and asked many questions. We heard a lot of positive feedback!
