Most common mobile devices support the use of Google Mail, Calendar, Docs, and other Google Apps. Google provides extensive documentation on how to set up and use your device with their products. Be sure to enter your U-M email address (firstname.lastname@example.org) and UMICH password when setting up your mobile device.
Faculty and staff should never maintain sensitive regulated data on personally owned mobile devices. Users, including students, wishing to sync their M+Google Mail account to their mobile device (smart phone, tablet) must ensure that their device is, at a minimum, protected by a password or pin.
