MCommunity Groups and Calendar Invites

You can now see the members of some MCommunity groups when you create a M+Google Calendar event and invite an MCommunity group.

Public MCommunity Groups:

When a public MCommunity group (members list is viewable by anyone) is invited to an M+Google Calendar event, the group can be expanded in the calendar to show all group members. The M+Google calendar event does keep up with changes to public MCommunity groups and events will drop off the calendars of individuals who leave the group.

Note: The M+Google calendar has a hard limit of 10,000 group members allowed on an invite for a single event and 5,000 group members allowed on an invite for recurring events. When inviting groups large groups, keep in mind that there is a limit of 200 people that will display when the group list is expanded.

Private MCommunity Group of which you are a member:

When you create a M+Google Calendar event for a private MCommunity (members list is viewable my other members only) group that you are a member of, the group list can be expanded in the calendar to show all group members. The M+Google calendar event does not keep up with changes to private MCommunity groups and events will not drop off the calendars of individuals who leave the group.

Private MCommunity Groups of which you are not a member:

When a private MCommunity group is invited to an M+Google Calendar event, only the group name will display for non-group members and the following pop-up will appear.

Invitations will go to all internal members of both private and public MCommunity groups unless the member is an external member (does not have a Google email address). Invitations will not go to external members. The M+Google calendar event does not keep up with changes to private MCommunity groups and events will not drop off the calendars of individuals who leave the group.

MCommunity group members can respond individually by clicking Yes, Maybe, or No to an email invitation sent to a group.
