What is Guided Imagery?

Guided Imagery is a mind-body modality:
  • Intentional generation of mental images (sensations) to evoke a psychophysiological state of relaxation or a specific outcome
  • Draws upon the connection between the mind and body
  • Takes conscious control over the imagination and guides it in a desired direction for desired outcomes
