Bhanu Gupta
Hi! I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics at Ashoka University and member of the Technical Advisory Group for the Program on the Indian Economy at UC San Diego. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan in May 2020.
My primary fields are Public Finance and Development Economics.
My research analyzes issues related to optimal tax administration with a focus on tax compliance of firms in developing countries. My other work explores fiscal and behavioral inefficiencies that distort investments in human capital formation and social protection, particularly in education.
