Wednesday, May 14, 2014 @ the Michigan League
LSA Student Academic Affairs is pleased to host the 13th annual Conference on Undergraduate Academic Advising. The conference provides colleagues across the campuses, including both UM−Dearborn and UM−Flint, an opportunity to discuss topics of mutual interest. All sessions will be held in the Michigan League with a heart-healthy breakfast available in the morning and a catered lunch.
The conference will begin in the Michigan League Ballroom with opening remarks by Esrold Nurse, Assistant Dean for LSA Student Academic Affairs, followed by our opening plenary speaker Dr. Martha Pollack, Provost of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Provost Pollack will address us on her vision for the campus community in light of various issues and changes that have occurred over the past year, and the role advisors and student affairs personnel play in building and maintaining our campus community.
After two 75-minute breakout sessions, lunch will be served in the Michigan League Ballroom; the day will end with a final 75-minute breakout session. Detailed information can be found on the conference schedule.
Advisors, faculty, and administrators from all units of the Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint campuses are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please join us as we learn more about advising practices and available campus resources to help students, staff, and faculty connect in creative and supportive ways.
This event is funded by the generous support of the Monroe-Brown Fund.
