Standards Michigan Key points
1. The UMTB application and the link to the ANSI announcement is attached to the Reference Document page on this web site.
2. Standards Michigan will be looking for more granularity in Section 6.4 Balance and Interest Categories so that the user/ownef/final fiduciary is more clearly defined so that large organizations in the public sector -- with both business development and public safety enforcement enterprises under the same roof -- give equal weight to the business development interest.
3. In almost all cases, safety expertise lies with enforcement personnel who, while typically very knowledgeable, do not have neither the purview nor the responsibility for reconciling the competing requirements of safety and economy.
