Welcome to the COE Facilities Development Site, a place to find data, images and documentation relevant to our continuing work to improve facilities and resources for COE students, faculty, administrators and staff. Since 2014, COE has invested over $3M in the rehabilitation of 30,000+ square feet of laboratory, classroom and office space in addition to planning and design for two new COE buildings. EIB Under Construction. Progress continues Live Construction Cam on the new 55,000 SF Engineering Innovation Building (EIB) to house the entire ChemE Dept, a CME High-Bay Structural Laboratory and MIE Cluster Labs for inter-disciplinary research. The $43M project broke ground Jan 8, 2018 continuing through completion in Aug 2019.

CDRLC Development. We are now commissioning Schematic Design, the next step in the creation of the Computing Design Research and Learning Center (CDRLC) a new 165,000+ SF facility currently in financial development slated for 2021. The CDRLC will house research labs, Faculty, Student and Staff offices for the Computer Science Department, classroom, lecture and laboratory space for the campus plus public, communal and collaboration space. The initial Feasibility Study and Conceptualized Design for the CDRLC was completed in 2015.
