Welcome to the COE Facilities Development Site, a place to find data, images and documentation relevant to our continuing work to improve facilities and resources for COE students, faculty, administrators and staff.

EIB Complete! The Ribbon-Cutting attended by esteemed Campus, City and State leaders was held July 22, 2019. The new 57,500 SF Engineering Innovation Building (EIB) houses the entire ChemE Department, a CME High-Bay Structural Laboratory and MIE Cluster Labs for inter-disciplinary research. The $43M project broke ground Jan 8, 2018 and has opened on-budget and on-time for the Fall 2019 Semester.

CDRLC Development. We are in Schematic Design, the next step in the creation of the Computing Design Research and Learning Center (CDRLC) a new facility slated for 2022. The CDRLC will house Research Labs, Faculty, Student and Staff offices for the Computer Science Department, classroom space for the campus plus public, communal and collaboration space. The initial Feasibility Study for the CDRLC was completed in 2015.

In addition to the planning and design for the two new COE buildings above, COE has invested nearly $5M in the rehabilitation of 40,000+ square feet of laboratory, classroom and office space in existing facilities. Select from the 'Projects' links in the Sidebar above to browse details.
