Short bio
Martín Antonio Rossi is Professor of Economics at Universidad de San Andrés. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the intersection of development economics, political economy, and public economics, and has been published in leading academic journals such as Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, American Economic Review: Insights, Economic Journal, Review of Economics and Statistics, American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Journal of Public Economics, and Journal of Development Economics.
Between 2024 and 2025, he served as Secretary of Deregulation and Secretary of State Modernization for the Government of Argentina, leading a comprehensive agenda of regulatory reform. He is a research affiliate at J-PAL, and his professional activities include work for UNICEF, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, and the Inter-American Development Bank.
