Peer Evaluation Interest Form

Peer Evaluation System from Winter Faculty Institute 2012 hosted by UD Capture

Many courses include assignments that can or must be completed as a group project. When assigning group work, many faculty find it useful to include some form of peer evaluation. In this session, we will discuss the experiences that participants wish to share about their use of peer evaluation. We will also take a close look at the Online Peer Evaluation system offered by ATS, and consider ways that it might be improved.

Issues to be addressed:
  • What are the goals of peer evaluation?
  • What tools and strategies make it most effective?
  • What can be done to reduce the work involved for both students and faculty?
  • How to best use peer evaluation data after the project has concluded?

Facilitators:

  • Bill Rose, Kinesiology & Applied Physiology
  • Carmine Balascio, Bioresources Engineering
  • Lou Rossi, Mathematical Sciences
  • Becky Kinney, IT Academic Technology Services
