2. Tossing Stunts

Tossing Stunts is the next progression when your toss is straight and getting higher.
(The toss is high enough to start tossing stunts when the females feet are as high as the males face)

Toss Chair

For the toss chair, the male wil execute a toss as described earlier and catches the "seat" with his right hand and the ankle on the left foot.

For the toss chair, the female will execute a toss and when she feels the hand will sit back similiar to being in a chair and will pull her right knee up.

For the dismount the male will dip with his legs and pop through his legs extending up and will catch the female as high as possible to slow her back down to the ground.  The female will ride up the pop off bringing her feet back together and will wait to regrab until she feels the male's hands around her waist.

Toss Hands and Press Extension

For the toss hands, the male will execute a toss as describied earlier, and catch the females feet with his index fingers in the back and the rest of his fingers gripping the shoe.  When in hands, it is important that the male keep his elbows up and his palms up so the female has something to stand on.  The popoff dismount is the same.

For the toss hands, the female will execute a toss as described earlier, and at the top of the toss spread her feet about shoulder with.  When the male grabs her feet, it is important for her to keep her legs locked and hit a High V motion to help keep her chest up.  The popoff dismount is the same.

Toss Extension

For the toss extension, the male will execute a toss as describied earlier.  Instead of stopping at hands, the male will focus on finishing the toss at the top and catch both feet in the extending position.

When practicing the toss extension, the toss may not be caught at the very top.   The male must learn to absorb the toss with his legs and arms locked out and finish standing up.  With practice the toss extension will be caught at the very top.

For the toss extension, the female will execute a toss as described earlier.  The technique is the same as toss hands and the female must focus on jumping as hard and as fast as she can.

Toss Liberty

For the toss liberty, the male will execute a toss as describied earlier.  The male must focus on getting the proper grip on the right foot with his right hand similiar to that of hands or extension and his left hand directly in front of the right hand squeezing the foot with both arms locked out.

For the toss liberty, the female will execute a toss as described earlier.  The female will keep her feet together focusing on keeping her ankles and toes together.  When the female feels a solid grip on her right foot, she will pull her "liberty" and focus on keeping her left knee directly in front of her, her hip up and her bent leg parallel with the ground.  The dismount is the same.

Toss Pull Heel Stretch

For the toss pull heel stretch, the male will execute a toss as describied earlier.  The grip will be the same as the liberty grip and the dismount will be the same.  However, at the top of the stunt before you grab the foot, the female will pull her heel stretch and you will spot for only the right foot.

For the toss pull heel stretch, the female will execute a toss as described earlier.  Instead of pulling a liberty, the female will lift her left foot directly forward and grab the outside of her left foot at the top of the stunt before the male makes contact with the foot.  It is important to keep the foot in front of her body and not let it swing out.  The dismount is the same.

When learning this stunt I recommed going to the "target" position as done with the Toss Liberty

Toss Arabesque

For the toss arabesque, the male will execute a toss as describied earlier.  The grip for the arabesque is unique, and the male must focus on keeping both hands together, interlocking his thumbs, and keeping his palms up for the female to stand on.  The dismount will be the same.

For the toss arabesque, the female will execute a toss as described earlier.  However, at the top of the toss the female will look over her right shoulder causing her body to make a 1/4 turn.  When the female feels a solid grip on her right foot, she will left her left foot back and her chest will slightly drop with her arms hitting a "T" motion.  The dismount is the same but the female must return to the front on the pop from the male.

This grip and stunt varies from the other stunts described and it is very important for the male to keep a flat surface for the female to stand up, and for the female to keep her hips up so she can stand in the stunt.

Toss Cupie

For the toss cupie, the male will execute a toss as describied earlier.  For the cupie, he will catch both feet with either his left or right hand at the top of the toss.  The male must focus on squeezing both sides of the feet with his thumb and pinky fingers.  The dismount is the same.

When practicing this stunt, do not use both hands and pull one away, as you will develop a bad habit that will be harder to break later.  It is very important to finish the toss and catch both feet at the top.

For the toss cupie, the female will execute a toss as described earlier.  The female must keep her feet together the entire time squeezing her ankles and toes together the entire time.  The dismount is the same.

Toss One arm Pull Liberty

For the toss one arm liberty, the male will execute a toss as describied earlier.  At the top of the toss, the male must focus on catching the right foot with his index finger at the heel and squeezing the entire foot with his hand.  It is equally important to drive up with the palm of the hand giving the female a flat surface to stand on.  The dismount is the same.

For the toss one arm liberty, the female will execute a toss liberty as described earlier.  When pulling the stunt on the way up, the female must wait until the top of the toss to pull her liberty.  The male will only be grabbing with one hand, so it is important to focus on lifting through the hips and shoulders.  The dismount is the same.

Other Toss Stunts

Heel Stretches and Arabesques can be tossed catching the stunt with one arm with the same technique as described earlier.  In addition, with practice liberties and heel stretches can be "pulled" at the top with the same technique and grip as described earlier.
