Purpose

If you ask most residents of Connecticut, they would most likely tell you that nothing of historic importance had ever happened in its capital city, Hartford. They would, however, be wrong, for, during the midst of the War of 1812, it hosted the Hartford Convention, which ultimately became the final nail in the coffin of the Federalists.

This site will focus on one of those delegates in particular; William Prescott, a representative from Boston.
