VPN Instructions are currently under review. In the meantime, following are basic steps for Windows 7 VPN connections...

To Establish your VPN connection for the First Time:

1. Click Start.
2. Click Control Panel.
3. Click Network and Sharing Center.
4. Click Setup a New Connection or Network.
5. Click Connect to a Workplace.
6. Click Next.
7. Click Use my Internet Conenction (VPN).
8. Enter ucm-vpn.ucmo.edu for the Internet address.
9. Enter UCM-VPN for Destination name.
10. Check "Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later."
11. Click Next.
12. Enter your Network User Name.
13. Enter your Network Password.
14. Enter UCMO for the Domain.
15. Click Create.
16. Click Close.
17. Click the Network Icon in the system tray (looks like a monior with a plug in next to it.)
18. Right-click the UCM-VPN connection.
19. Click Properties
20. Click the Security tab.
21. Uncheck Challenge Handshake Authenticiation Protocol (CHAP).
22. Click the Networking Tab.
23. Uncheck Internet Progocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6).
24. Highlight Internent Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
25. Click Properties.
26. Click Advanced.
27. Uncheck "use default gateway on remote network".
28. Click OK.
29. Click OK.
30. Click OK.


To Connect Your VPN:

1. Click the Network Connection icon in the systems tray, bottom right corner.
2. Click UCM-VPN.
3. Click Connect.
4. Enter your Network User Name and Password.
5. Enter UCMO for Domain.
6. Click Connect.
