Single Line Telephone Features

    Call Transfer
    Allows the transfer of a call to another extension.
    To activate:
    -Flash tap/switchhook, listen for special dial tone
    -Dial third party
    -Announce call
    -Hang up
    If you encounter a busy, no answer:
    -Flash tap/switchhook, you will return to original party.
    Consultation Hold
    Permits a private consultation with destination prior to transferring a call or establishing a three-party conference.
    During an established call:
    -Flash tap/switchhook, listen for special dial tone
    -Dial third party
    Consult
    Allow third party to hand up to return to original party.
    If you encounter a busy or no answer in attempting a consultation:
    -Flash tap/switchhook to return to original party.
    Three-Party Conference
    Allows three-way internal or external conferencing.
    To activate:
    -With an active call in process, flash tap/switchhook, listen for special tone.
    -Dial third party
    -When the party answers, announce the conference.
    -Flash tap/switchhook
    If you encounter a busy, no answer:
    -Flash tap/switchhook, you will return to original party.
    Call Pick-Up
    Allows you to answer incoming calls ringing at another telephone within your defined call pickup group.
    To answer a ringing telephone:
    -Lift handset
    -Dial *76
    Directed Call Pick-Up
    Allows you to answer incoming calls ringing at an other telephone.
    To answer a ringing telephone:
    -Lift handset
    -Dial *83
    -Dial extension number ringing
    Call Forward, Busy
    Call Forward, No Answer
    These features automatically redirect incoming calls if you do not answer a call within a predetermined time or are currently on a call.  Check with your system administrator to determine if you have been assigned this feature.
    Call Forward (all calls)
    Allows you to redirect all incoming calls automatically to another extension.
    To activate:
    -Lift handset
    -Dial *72, listen for dial tone
    -Dial extension number to which calls are to be forwarded
    -Hang up
    To cancel:
    -Lift handset
    -Dial *73
    -Hang up
    A telephone user with activated call forward may originate calls; however, call waiting is disabled while call forward is active.
    Last Number Redial
    Allows redial of the last called internal or external number (maximum of 24 digits).
    -Lift handset
    -Dial #7
    Call Park
    Allows you to park one call against your extension number and retrieve that call from any telephone.
    To activate:
    -Flash tap/swichhook, listen for special dial tone
    -Dial *78, listen for confirmation tone
    -Hang up
    To retrieve parked call:
    -Lift handset
    -Dial *79, listen for confirmation tone
    -Dial the extension number against which the call is parked
    You may originate or receive additional calls while a call is parked against your extension number.
    Ringing Again/Queuing
    If a call is placed to a busy station (on-campus only), this feature allows the calling party to be notified when the station becomes idle. By activation the ring again feature, the call will automatically be redialed.
    To activate: (when busy tone is heard)
    -Flash tap/switchhook, listen for special tone
    -Dial *80, listen for confirmation tone.
    -Hang up
    When busy circuit become idle, your telephone will ring.  The ring will be a series of short bursts of ringing.  By lifting the handset the call is automatically redialed.
    To cancel a Ring Again:
    -Lift handset
    -Dial *81, listen for confirmation tone
    -Hang up
    Ring Again will automatically be cancelled if the calling extension does not answer the recall within the programmed time out period
    Note:  You may have one ring again active at a particular time; placing a second will cancel the first.
    Large Conference
    Allows a caller to establish a conference with a maximum of 6 conferees.
    To activate:
    -With an active call in process, Flash tap/switchhook, listen for special tone.
    -Dial directory or extension number of conferee.
    -When the party answers, announce conference
    -Flash tap/switchhook.  A 3-party conference is established.
    To add each additional conferee:
    -Flash tap/switchhook, listen for dial tone.
    -Dial directory or extension number of conferee.
    -When the party answers, announce conference.\
    -Flash tap/switchhook.  The new confereeis added to the conference.
    Should you encounter a busy or no answer situation:
    -Flash tap/switchhook to return to the conference.
    Only the originator may add parties to the conference.
    Call Hold
    Allows you to place a call on hold and originate or receive another call while that call is on hold.  Both parties must remain off-hook.
    To place a call on hold:
    -Flash tap/switchhook, listen for special dial tone.
    -Dial *82
    You may either remain off-hook or hang up.  If you are on-hook, lift handset to return to your call.
    If you remain off-hook, to return to your call, Flash tap/switchhook.
    Speed Call
    This is a list consisting of stored number with assigned speed location codes (00-69).
    To Program Speed Call:
    -Lift handset
    -Dial *74, listen for dial tone
    -Dial speed call digits (00-69)
    -Dial the number to be stored (up to 24 digits)
    -Hang up
    Note:  Include external access code plus telephone number.
    To Activate:
    -Lift handset
    -Dial *75
    -Dial programmed speed dial (00-69)
    Changes to speed calling list are made by overriding the existing number.
    Message Waiting
    When a message is left in your voicemail box, you will receive either a visual (if equipped) or audible indication.  When you lift the handset, you will hear stutter dial tone when messages are left in your mailbox.  You may then dial the voicemail access number and retrieve your messages.
